The Art Studio is a spacious and well-lit room which allows students to work both individually and collaboratively in groups. It also allows for the use of different media, ranging from drawing to painting, printing, collage and 3-D work. Hence it is equipped with standing and table-top easels, wooden mannequins, a light table, turntables, lamps on stands and printing tools, among other things. Since drawing from observation is an integral part of the curriculum, there is a small collection of man-made and natural objects suitable for still life compositions.
There is also a separate cleaning area and a drying rack for storing unfinished work. Room temperature can be regulated by means of air-conditioners and teaching is facilitated by the use of an interactive board which allows students to explore famous artworks, international collections and historical sites. It also permits students to listen to expert critiques and learn from contemporary artists and restorers explaining their working methods and techniques.
